Interior design for holiday homes.

I help Airbnb hosts and holiday-home owners in the Algarve turn dated properties into fresh, welcoming spaces that photograph beautifully, appeal to guests and feel comfortable to stay in, without the cost and disruption of a major renovation.

Start with a few photos of your property, and I’ll help you decide what to keep, what to change and how to make the most of your budget, for one room or the whole house.

Meet Oxana

Good design should work as hard as your property does.

Oxana, interior designer and the person behind Cozy Home by O.

I'm Oxana, an interior designer in the Algarve and the person behind Cozy Home by O. I create holiday homes that feel welcoming for guests and are easy for owners to manage.

A love of aesthetics has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. At six, I turned an old wardrobe into a tiny home, and in every place I have lived since, I have made the space a joy to come home to. Studying interior design at the British College of Interior Design was the best investment I could make: it turned a lifelong passion into a profession. Working with holiday properties in Portugal then taught me to see a space through two pairs of eyes: the guest's first impression and the owner's everyday practicality.

My approach

A home rarely needs to be stripped out and started again. I look at what is already there, keep what is worth keeping, improve what needs attention and spend only where it makes a real difference. From the first ideas and furniture sourcing to the final styling, I make sure every decision earns its place.

Pieces worth keeping

A solid wooden piece often has more character than anything new at the same price. When I see potential, I give it a second life with fresh paint and new hardware, so it becomes the quiet star of the room. It keeps the personality of the home, protects your budget and avoids needless waste.

  1. A visit to your property

I meet you at your property to listen to your ideas, understand how the space is used and see what isn't working yet.

  2. A walk through, together

We go through each room together, looking at what's worth keeping, what could work better and where to focus your budget. From colours and furniture to lighting and finishing touches, I suggest improvements that bring the rooms together. If you're unsure what needs changing, I'll show you where to start.

  3. Your next steps, in writing

After the visit, I send you an email outlining the changes discussed and the agreed priorities. You'll have a clear, practical reference to help you decide what to tackle first and move forward with confidence.

Furniture & cabinetry refresh

A fresh look for the pieces worth keeping.

When I visit an older home, I look for the pieces that still have something to offer. A sideboard may feel dated, yet have beautiful proportions, solid wood and a character that would be difficult to replace. Sometimes, it takes a fresh perspective to see where it could belong.

Giving old wooden furniture a second life is a personal passion that occasionally becomes part of my interior design projects. I suggest it when I see real potential in a piece and a place for it in the finished room. Thoughtful colour, a fresh finish or a few carefully chosen details can help it feel at home again.

This reflects my approach to creating interiors: making the most of what is already there, choosing changes with care and avoiding unnecessary waste. For me, a more sustainable home begins with recognising what is worth keeping.

In the making

A softer touch for your home.

Something soft is on its way. I’m putting together this little corner for cushion covers, placemats and other handmade details. This section is still taking shape. I’ll add photos of my own pieces here as they’re ready.
